(The Voice of God is the Word of God)

Reference: Genesis 3:1-8, Psalm 29

“And they heard the VOICE OF GOD walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden. And the Lord God CALLED unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?”

Genesis 3:8-9 KJV

In our previous study, the Word of God was unveiled as His Vow and Commitment to you. It was also illuminated that the Word of God is Purpose and result-oriented, representing His very thoughts. God speaks His thoughts, and His thoughts are embodied in His Words.

The Power of God’s Voice

God’s Voice, manifested as the Word of God, dates back to the Genesis of creation. Whatever God said came to be, and most things came into existence when God called them forth out of nothing. However, a significant event occurred when Adam and Eve sinned.

The Bible declares that Adam and Eve heard the Voice of God walking in the Garden. The voice of God is His person, and God is His Word. Subsequently, the scriptures state that the Lord God called them. This implies that the voice was the Lord God Himself.

The Word as Divine Fire

The Word of God is the voice of God to you—an expression of His personal promise to you. All you need in this life is the voice of God; it is the power and weapon of the believer. The Lord, speaking to Jeremiah about His word, declared, “Is not MY WORD LIKE FIRE? saith the Lord; and LIKE A HAMMER that breaketh the rock in pieces?” – Jeremiah 23:29 KJV. The Word of God is capable of burning, breaking, and building—addressing the greatest needs of every person on Earth.

The Majestic Voice of God

The psalmist, inspired by the Holy Spirit, reveals the potency of the Voice of God, which is the Word of God: “The voice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the Lord is upon many waters. The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty. The voice of the Lord divideth the flames of fire.” – Psalm 29:3-5, 7 KJV. Such is the power of the Word of God, which is the Voice of God to you.

Cling to the Word, for it is the source of your daily success in Christ Jesus. The Voice of God knows no limitation—it is upon the earth, the waters, under the earth, and even in the heavens. Speak the Word, hold onto the Word, and recognize it as God’s personal voice to you. Walk in that arena of consciousness and appropriate the Word, for you are undoubtedly headed for success. Glory to God.

You are blessed.
